Job summary

SUPER MICRO COMPUTER MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a System Engineer to support the development, validation, integration and sustenance of enterprise server platforms across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, drive quality, support NPI, and deliver reliable solutions that meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards. You will drive end-to-end product quality across NPI pilot runs and sustaining stages, lead cross-department

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. A Master’s degree is an added advantage. Candidate with Diploma or Certificates with relevant years of experience may be consider for this role.
• Around 5 years of relevant experience in system engineering, with exposure to configuring, integrating, validating or supporting server, IPC or similar computing platforms is advantage.
• Working knowledge of server architecture, system components and operation system (OS) including Windows Server & Linux. Familiarity with x86 server platforms, BIOS, BMC, storage, networking and virtualization technologies is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, system validation, functional testing, debugging or technical troubleshooting within a laboratory, manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive effective resolutions.
• Good written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation, present findings and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering quality results.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PM by streamlining internal workflows and delivering technical resolutions for customer inquiries, issue escalations and engineering change activities.
• Work with engineering & sales teams to architect, design, configure, validate and deliver server solutions that align with customer requirements, technical specifications and business objectives.
• Support products bring-up, system integration, validation and qualification activities for new server platforms before mass production.
• Develop, maintain and improve system-level documentation, including test plans, validation reports, troubleshooting guides and engineering procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to production, quality, repair team during NPI builds and sustaining activities.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with company standards, customer satisfactions and applicable quality management system requirements.

Job description

The System Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, validation, integration, and sustaining of enterprise server platforms throughout the product lifecycle. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, drive product quality, support New Product Introduction (NPI), and deliver reliable system solutions that meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards.

What will be your task:
