We are seeking an experienced System Control Engineer (PLC Programmer) to join NOLEK SDN BHD in Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of automated control systems and programmable logic controller (PLC) solutions.
Design, develop, and programme PLC control systems for industrial automation and leak testing applications.
Develop and maintain PLC, HMI and control system software to meet project and operational requirements.
Design and develop electrical control circuits and schematics for automation systems.
Plan, monitor and execute automation projects from design, electrical wiring, programming, testing and commissioning stages.
Integrate PLC, HMI, sensors, drives and other automation components with mechanical and electrical systems.
Perform onsite service, troubleshooting and technical support for existing and new systems.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, electrical drawings, PLC programmes and system configurations.
Optimise and improve existing control systems to enhance performance, efficiency and safety.
Support standardisation and continuous improvement within the System Control team.
Stay updated with the latest PLC, industrial automation and control system technologies.
Willing to travel locally and overseas for project installation, commissioning and service work
Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic/Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC programming, system control or industrial automation. Salary will be commensurate with experience and technical skills. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly Siemens PLC. Experience with Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley or other PLC platforms is an advantage.
Experience with HMI software and control system development.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control circuits, PLC I/O, sensors and industrial automation systems.
Knowledge of analog signals and industrial control systems.
Experience with C# / Visual Studio programming is an advantage.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
Experience in leak testing technology is an advantage.
Good written and spoken English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
Willing to work in Simpang Ampat, Penang.
