Job summary

Dagang NeXchange Berhad (DNeX) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead technical analysis, system design, and solution architecture for client engagements in Cyberjaya. You will translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and deliver high-quality artefacts including SRS, SDD, ERD, and architecture diagrams.

You will collaborate with BAs, Developers, and Tech Leads to align business needs with architecture, evaluate integration approaches, and guide technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• Professional certification in System Analysis and Design is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ERD, and system architecture diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical analysis, system design, and solution architecture for client engagements.
• Produce high-quality artefacts: SRS, SDD, integration design documents, ERD, architecture diagrams.
• Perform feasibility, gap, and impact analyses to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with BAs, Developers, and Tech Leads to ensure alignment.
• Design and review integration approaches (APIs, middleware) for interoperability.
• Recommend technologies and architectural approaches aligned with standards.
• Ensure designs comply with architecture, security, and data governance.
• Identify risks and escalate to Head, IT Consultancy with options.
• Support agile practices: technical stories, sprint planning, acceptance criteria.
• Ensure deliverables meet governance standards and timelines.
• Support testing activities from a technical design perspective.
• Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement.

Job description

Lead technical analysis, system design, and solution architecture activities for assigned client engagements, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

Produce high-quality technical artefacts including System Requirement Specification (SRS), System Design Description (SDD), integration design documents, data models, entity relationship diagrams (ERD), and system architecture diagrams.

Perform technical feasibility studies, gap analysis, and impact analysis to support solution design and technology decision-making.

Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Technical Leads to ensure alignment between business requirements and system design, and to validate solution feasibility.

Design and review system integration approaches (APIs, web services, middleware) to ensure interoperability between systems and platforms.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and architectural approaches for client engagements, in alignment with best practices and standards.

Ensure technical designs comply with system architecture standards, security requirements, and data governance policies.

Identify and elevate technical risks, design conflicts, or ambiguities to the Head, IT Consultancy in a timely manner, proposing resolution options where possible.

Support agile delivery practices including technical story refinement, sprint planning support, and definition of technical acceptance criteria.

Ensure technical deliverables adhere to project governance standards and are completed within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.

Support system testing activities including test case review, SIT/UAT coordination, and defect triage from a technical design perspective.

Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical delivery methodology and standards.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (majoring in Info System Engineering/Software Engineering) or equivalent

Any professional certification related with System Analysis and Design is an added advantage

Required skill(s)

Strong proficiency in system analysis techniques such as writing SRS, SDD, data modelling, ERD, system architecture diagrams, and API/integration design. Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), system integrayion approaches (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware) amd software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Possess software application domain knowledge is an added advantage

Desired experience/exposure

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in system analysis, solution design, or software development within IT solutions, consulting, or software delivery environments. Demonstrated experience independently handling system analysis and technical design for medium to complex projects. Experience in system integration projetcs, enterprise solutions (ERP, CRM or custom platforms), and digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.
