Job summary

Luxoft is expanding its Kuala Lumpur technology centre with experienced data analytics consultants. The role focuses on GDW, Data Warehouse and Data Mart initiatives, translating business requirements into technical specs and driving data integration efforts across AS400/DB2, Teradata and Oracle SQL environments.

You will work with Informatica BDM, IDQ and IDL, Hadoop clusters, and BI/reporting tools while collaborating with business users and engineers to resolve production issues and deliver

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in System Analysis / ITBA / Data projects.
• Strong experience in Data Warehouse and Data Mart environments.
• Strong knowledge of GDW and data integration.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata and Oracle SQL.
• Experience with AS400/DB2.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Informatica BDM, IDQ and IDL.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data mapping, data quality and reconciliation.
• Experience working with Hadoop/Cloudera, Hive, Impala or Spark.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data flows and source-to-target data integration.
• Experience in requirement gathering, impact analysis, functional specifications and production support.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements related to GDW, Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
• Perform requirement gathering, impact analysis and translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
• Work with data from AS400, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Support data integration and ETL processes using Informatica BDM, IDQ and IDL.
• Work with Teradata technologies including TD Studio, IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR and View Point.
• Analyse and troubleshoot data issues across source systems, data warehouse and downstream data marts.
• Support data quality, validation, reconciliation and data lineage activities.
• Work with Hadoop/Big Data technologies including Cloudera, Spark, HUE, Hive, Impala and Kafka.
• Support BI and reporting solutions using Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAS, Microsoft R and Business Objects.
• Coordinate with business users, developers, data engineers and other technology teams.
• Support production issues, perform root-cause analysis and provide functional/technical solutions.
• Work with JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Aldon and Control-M as part of development, deployment and support processes.
• Prepare functional specifications, data mappings, impact analysis and technical documentation.
• Provide senior-level guidance and support for data-related initiatives and production issues.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
