Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior system analyst to lead technical analysis, design, and solution architecture for client engagements in Malaysia. You will translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and produce artefacts such as SRS, SDD, data models, ERDs, and architecture diagrams.

The role requires 5+ years in system analysis, API integration experience, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS/IT (Info System Engineering/Software Engineering) or equivalent.
• Professional certification in System Analysis and Design is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in system analysis techniques: SRS, SDD, data modelling, ERD, system architecture diagrams, and API/integration design.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and SDLC is essential.
• Experience with system integration projects, ERP/CRM or custom platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical analysis, system design, and solution architecture activities for client engagements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Produce high-quality artefacts: SRS, SDD, integration design docs, data models, ERD, architecture diagrams.
• Perform feasibility, gap, and impact analyses to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with BAs, developers, and tech leads to ensure alignment and feasibility.
• Design and review API/integration approaches (REST/SOAP) for interoperability.
• Ensure designs comply with architecture standards, security, and data governance.
• Identify risks and propose resolutions to the Head, IT Consultancy.
• Support agile delivery with technical refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure deliverables meet governance standards and timelines.
• Assist in SIT/UAT coordination and defect triage from a technical perspective.
• Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement.

Lead technical analysis, system design, and solution architecture activities for assigned client engagements, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

Produce high-quality technical artefacts including System Requirement Specification (SRS), System Design Description (SDD), integration design documents, data models, entity relationship diagrams (ERD), and system architecture diagrams.

Perform technical feasibility studies, gap analysis, and impact analysis to support solution design and technology decision-making.

Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Technical Leads to ensure alignment between business requirements and system design, and to validate solution feasibility.

Design and review system integration approaches (APIs, web services, middleware) to ensure interoperability between systems and platforms.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and architectural approaches for client engagements, in alignment with best practices and standards.

Ensure technical designs comply with system architecture standards, security requirements, and data governance policies.

Identify and elevate technical risks, design conflicts, or ambiguities to the Head, IT Consultancy in a timely manner, proposing resolution options where possible.

Support agile delivery practices including technical story refinement, sprint planning support, and definition of technical acceptance criteria.

Ensure technical deliverables adhere to project governance standards and are completed within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.

Support system testing activities including test case review, SIT/UAT coordination, and defect triage from a technical design perspective.

Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical delivery methodology and standards.

Requirements:

Qualification:Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (majoring in Info System Engineering/Software Engineering) or equivalent

Any professional certification related with System Analysis and Design is an added advantage

Required skill(s): Strong proficiency in system analysis techniques such as writing SRS, SDD, data modelling, ERD, system architecture diagrams, and API/integration design. Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), system integrayion approaches (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware) amd software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Possess software application domain knowledge is an added advantage

Experience in system integration projetcs, enterprise solutions (ERP, CRM or custom platforms), and digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.
