Job summary

Carsem is seeking a Sustainability and Transformation Program Analyst to help prepare the Annual Sustainability Statement and ensure accuracy by gathering inputs from various teams. The role supports the transition to IFRS S1 reporting under NSRF and Bursa Malaysia requirements, building on IFRS S2 from FY26.

The position requires staying current on standards (IFRS S1/S2, GRI, FTSE, SASB), tracking regulatory developments across regions, translating standards into practical recommendations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, finance or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards and frameworks (IFRS S1/S2, GRI, FTSE, SASB).
• Ability to research and translate regulatory developments into actionable points.

Responsibilities

• Sustainability reporting for the Annual Sustainability Statement as part of the Integrated Annual Report.
• Stay current on standards and regulations (IFRS S1/S2, GRI, FTSE, SASB) and flag implications.
• Organise monthly site-level working committee meetings and quarterly Steering Committee meetings.
• Engage stakeholders (customers, investors, regulators) and manage inquiries.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on sustainability topics and present findings.
• Provide analytical support on strategy projects and cross-functional initiatives.
