Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to support the preparation of the Annual Sustainability Statement as part of the Integrated Annual Report, and to collect, validate, and analyze data across departments for accurate reporting.

You will assist with IFRS S1 reporting alignment and monitor regulatory developments in Malaysia and key markets, translating requirements into practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, reporting, strategy, business analysis, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and derive business insights.
• Knowledge of IFRS S1/S2, GRI, SASB, FTSE or other ESG reporting standards is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the Company's Annual Sustainability Statement as part of the Integrated Annual Report.
• Collect, validate, and analyse sustainability data from various departments to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support transition to IFRS S1 reporting in compliance with Bursa Malaysia and NSRF requirements.
• Coordinate Sustainability Working Committee and Steering Committee meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Respond to sustainability questionnaires, surveys, and information requests from stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis on topics like climate initiatives and decarbonisation to support management decisions.
