Job summary

Borneo Eco Tours Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sustainability Officer to support planning, coordination, and implementation of sustainability initiatives in Sabah. You will monitor progress, promote awareness, and ensure environmental and social responsibility goals are achieved.

Role involves organizing programs, tracking timelines, collecting data, and collaborating with teams and partners to drive continuous improvement and compliance across the BET group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• Experience in sustainability coordination or project administration is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for sustainability, environmental awareness, and community impact.
• Knowledge of local/native languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Sustainability Officer supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of sustainability initiatives by organizing programs, monitoring progress, and ensuring environmental and social responsibility goals are achieved effectively.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring sustainability projects and initiatives by tracking timelines, supporting implementation activities, and ensuring objectives are met efficiently.
• Communicate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to provide updates, coordinate sustainability activities, and promote awareness of sustainability practices and initiatives.
• Help collect, organize, and maintain sustainability-related data, reports, and documentation to support compliance, performance tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support sustainability research, environmental reporting, and compliance activities by staying updated on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.

Job Requirement

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Project Management, or any related field.
• Experience in sustainability coordination, project administration, awareness initiatives, or related roles is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about sustainability, environmental awareness, and community impact.
• Knowledge of local/native languages or dialects is a plus.

• Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm.
• Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm.
