Job summary

Unifiedcomms Group is seeking a System Engineer in Malaysia to join our delivery team. You will own customer deployments, support live systems, and work closely with customers to deliver effective solutions.

We welcome fresh grads as well as experienced engineers who are curious, proactive, and ready to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, virtualization, MyriaDB/MySQL, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Basic programming/scripting skills in any language.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer onboarding from kickoff to deployment, timeline, training, and customer expectations.
• Installation and support of servers, switches, NAS, and virtualization technologies.
• Create project documentation - UAT documents, system overviews, user manuals, and reports.
• Provide L1/L2 tech-support to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Join a rotating 24/7 technical phone support schedule.
• Manage administration, backups, recovery, performance tuning, and fault handling of the cloud platform.
• Maintain smooth operations through routine upkeep and proactive improvements.
• Build automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Support sales and consultant with testing, solution validation, and product demos for prospects.
