Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Senior Supervisor, Logistics to oversee daily transportation operations, coordinate resources, and ensure contract obligations are met.

You will supervise crews, manage equipment bookings, monitor KPIs, and drive health and safety compliance while supporting the team to achieve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee various complex operations and manage the resources to complete these operations successfully and efficiently.
• Assist to liaise and communicate with the team to ensure logistics and transportation requirements are met for all contracts and that all opportunities are realised and maximised.
• Ensure proper allocation of resource and fulfill all contractual obligations and requirements successfully.
• Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the transportation function including the management and updating of the transportation allocation.
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the transportation crews (e.g. Drivers, Heavy Vehicle Drivers, Crane Operators etc.).
• Ensure the recording of transportation crews is completed on a timely manner and prompt resolution of problems.
• Ensure company equipment, vehicles and mobile phones are kept in good working order and care is taken to ensure equipment is not damaged.
• Responsible for communicating requirements to staff and producing clear and accurate loading and uploading lists in a timely manner.
• Handle and update the equipment bookings to ensure prompt support.
• Support by taking proactive action to source for external resources when internal resources are unable to meet the business’s demand.
• Assist to ensure his crews adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines when performing their tasks.
• Prepare report in a timely manner and also provide measurement of KPIs.
• Take conscientious effort to ensure equal opportunity and embrace diversity within his team.
• Responsible for his professional development to enhance his competency skills to enable him to achieve his KPIs.
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate Supervisor or higher management.

• 1. Keep up-to-date on the operation of Logistics and the company policies as well as procedures to ensure effective management.


• 2. Support Senior Supervisor, Logistics with effective and timely implementation of all logistics daily operational goals inclusive of all functions on transportation and equipment management.
