Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and plan logistics operations for local delivery, export and import.
• Plan and monitor inbound/outbound deliveries with cross- department negotiation and leadership.
• Research shipping techniques, routing and carriers.
• Advise sales and supply chain head on freight rates and trends.
• Coordinate with forwarders, customs, customers and departments for shipments.
• Negotiate ocean freight and local transport charges.
• Manage storage at tank terminals, pumping rates and demurrage minimization.
• Ensure continuous plant operations with efficient movement to terminals and timely shipments.
• Maintain records and data tracking for control.
• Ensure on-time, secure delivery of goods to customers.
• Analyze logistics challenges and devise innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international trade and customs regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
• Update and evaluate metrics to improve performance.
• Ensure operations adhere to laws, guidelines and ISO requirements.
• Respond swiftly to issues or complaints.

Lead, manage, and plan logistics operations for local delivery, export, and import across group function

Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries, with efficient cross department/plant negotiation and leadership

Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.

Advise sales team and supply chain head on current freight rates and trends

Coordinate with forwarders, shipping agencies, customs, customers, and relevant departments for import and export shipments

Negotiate competitive ocean freight and local transport charges

Manage product storage at tank terminals, pumping rates and minimize demurrage for shipments of all ports of export for the company

Ensure continuous plant operations with efficient product movement to tank terminals and timely shipments

Maintain recording and data tracking procedures for effective management control

Ensure on-time, secure, and efficient delivery of goods to customers

Analyse logistic/shipping/operations challenges and devise innovative solutions

Ensure compliance with international trade and Customs regulations

Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders

Evaluating budgets and expenditures.

Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.

Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
