Job summary

INTER ARENA SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Shop Supervisor to keep daily operations smooth, inform the team, and actively seek opportunities to grow the business.

You will report to the owner, flag problems early, and propose practical improvements while ensuring stock levels, FIFO, and accurate reporting of sales and customer feedback.

This role requires a vigilant, proactive leader who can manage cash handling, deliveries, shelf presentation, and a culture of service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations: opening/closing, cashier, shelves, storeroom and customer service
• Supervise staff, set duty rosters, and make sure everyone does their tasks properly
• Monitor stock levels, reorder on time, and avoid out-of-stock items
• Check expiry dates and follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) to reduce wastage
• Watch for losses, theft and cash shortages; check cash counts daily
• Receive supplier deliveries and check quantity, quality and invoices
• Keep the shop clean, organised and shelves neatly arranged
• Send daily updates and a weekly report to the owner (sales, stock, wastage, staff issues, customer feedback)
• Keep the whole team aware of new items, price changes, promotions and targets
• Spot opportunities to improve: new products customers ask for, better supplier prices, promotions, better shelf layout, delivery/online orders

Job description

We're looking for a hands-on supervisor who keeps an eye on everything happening in the shop, keeps the team informed, and actively looks for ways to grow the business. You'll be the owner's right hand: reporting what's happening, flagging problems early, and suggesting improvements.
