Job summary

Transgrid Ventures Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a Sales/Tendering professional to develop technical and commercial proposals for substation building construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements.

Review specifications, prepare cost estimates, coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams, and ensure tender documents comply with ISO standards and regulatory requirements while managing client queries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years in sales, tendering, or business development in construction, preferably electrical substation projects.
• Experience in preparing and managing tenders, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction industry and electrical substation projects.
• Professional certifications in project management or sales are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare technical and commercial proposals for substation building construction projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to ensure all aspects are covered in tender submissions.
• Provide accurate cost estimates including material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure tender submissions are technically sound and aligned with project requirements.
• Ensure tender documents align with QESH standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks related to safety, quality, and environmental factors and propose mitigations.
• Act as primary contact with clients during tendering and address queries.
• Assist in evaluating bids from subcontractors and suppliers for compliance with specifications and costs.
• Document tender activities for audit and future reference.
• Contribute to improving tendering processes based on past project experiences.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Study suppliers and subcontractors’ offers for compliance with customer specifications.
• Engage in sales activities and analyze market trends for new business.
• Undertake other duties as required by management.
