Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Solution Engineer / Technical Reviewer to lead technical design reviews of prefabricated substation solutions for overseas projects. You will support bidding and sales with engineering solutions that meet international standards and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have a power systems degree and 3–5 years in related roles, with experience in data centers or renewable energy sectors, and strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation and analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in power systems or related technical field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in technical engineering roles.
Experience delivering solutions for data center or renewable energy sectors is preferred.
Strong grasp of technical marketing concepts and product structures.

Responsibilities

Review overseas project designs and evaluate prefabricated substation configurations.
Support design, integration, and optimization of substation solutions.
Improve bid competitiveness through cost-effective, reliable designs.
Incorporate international standards and best practices into engineering outputs.
Develop customized substation configurations and modular systems.
Provide technical recommendations and ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
Assist sales with technical clarifications and support for bidding.
Prepare technical specifications and coordinate with manufacturing on drawings.
Collaborate with internal teams to align on technical drawings and documentation.
Handle ad-hoc technical tasks as required by leadership.
