Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Structural engineer to review project specs and extract design parameters for crane projects in Malaysia. You will plan documentation, prepare crane and structural analyses, and produce concept sketches to support the project checklist and drawing package.

The role involves updating drawing checklists, nominating major components, and ensuring compliance with the project requirements. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply in this growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Structural) or equivalent.
• Experience performing static and dynamic force, stress and strain analyses.
• FEA proficiency is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, contracts and extract key structural design parameters.
• Plan document submission schedule based on the project timeline.
• Prepare/check crane analyses per project checklist and requirements.
• Prepare/check structural analyses per project checklist.
• Produce conceptual structural sketches from project requirements.
• Generate/update structural drawing checklists from new findings.
• Nominate major structural components and verify the component list.
• Prepare/check structural drawings according to the drawing checklist.

• Prepare / check crane analysis based on project checklist and project requirements.

• Nominate major structural components and check major component list.

Job Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Structural) or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able to perform static and dynamic mechanic analysis, e.g. Force analysis, Stress/Strain analysis, Material selection/analysis.
• Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an added advantage.
