Job summary

JPT Consulting Engineers invites a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Civil & Structural team. You will design and analyze infrastructure projects, review drawings, and contribute to timely project delivery.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree (2nd upper) with at least 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Prota, Esteem and TEDDS, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, not less than 2nd upper.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil infrastructure design, water schemes, high-rise buildings, or steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: carry out detailed structural and infrastructural analysis, design calculations, and review drawings for assigned projects.
• Project Administration: assist Senior Engineers and Directors in project administration, coordination, and supervising drafting works.
• Authority & Stakeholder Management: prepare and review technical submission reports and liaise with local authorities, contractors, and consultants.
• Site Management: attend site meetings and conduct visual inspections to ensure conformance with design specs and timelines.

What you need to do:

Design & Analysis: Carry out detailed structural and infrastructural analysis, design calculations, and review engineering drawings for assigned projects.

Project Administration: Assist Senior Engineers and Directors in project administration, coordination, and supervising engineering drafting works.

Authority & Stakeholder Management: Prepare and review technical submission reports, and liaise directly with local authorities, contractors, and other project consultants.

Site Management: Attend site technical meetings and conduct visual site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and progress timelines.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, not less than 2nd upper.

Minimum 2 years of experience in at least one of the following key disciplines:

• - Civil infrastructure design for housing schemes, townships, and/or industrial park development schemes.
• - Water Supply Scheme include water treatment plant, water reticulation and large supply main.
• - Structural design for high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and/or landed property
• - Steel structure design for industrial complexes or warehouses.
• - Geotechnical engineering and specialized foundation design.

Computer literate with robust proficiency in standard engineering software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Prota, Esteem, TEDDS, and related C&S design applications.

Strong interpersonal skills with high professional fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

A highly diligent, self-motivated, and resourceful team player capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
