Job summary

WDC Consult International PLT is seeking a competent Civil & Structural Engineer in Kulai, Johor. You will independently manage projects from design through construction, performing analyses and coordinating with clients, contractors and authorities to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering, at least 2 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. You will inspect sites and ensure compliance with drawings, standards and ITPs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to handle projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of civil & structural design, calculations, construction methods and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage Civil & Structural projects from design to delivery.

We are looking for a competent and independent C&S Engineer who is capable of handling assigned projects independently with minimal supervision, from design and technical coordination through to construction and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage and handle assigned Civil & Structural projects, from design and planning through construction and completion.
• Perform Civil & Structural analysis, calculations, design, and engineering works for assigned projects.
• Plan, coordinate, monitor, and follow up on project activities to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
• Review and verify design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and technical checks to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and relevant standards.
• Coordinate and liaise directly with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, relevant authorities, and site teams on technical and project-related matters.
• Attend and coordinate site meetings, technical meetings, inspections, and project coordination meetings when required.
• Identify and resolve Civil & Structural technical and site issues, and provide practical engineering solutions to ensure project progress is not affected.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works comply with approved drawings, design specifications, contract requirements, relevant regulations, and safety standards.
• Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget, in accordance with contract requirements and specifications.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Capable of handling projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Civil & Structural design, engineering calculations, construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Able to understand and review engineering drawings, technical details, specifications, and construction requirements.
• Strong project coordination, communication, problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and site personnel.
• Responsible, proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of assigned projects.
• Able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
