Job summary

INSPUR COMMUNICATION MALAYSIA Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced structural engineer to manage and coordinate structural construction works for data centre projects, ensuring drawings, specs, and schedules are followed.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering with 3+ years of experience, knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures, strong communication, and the ability to work on construction sites. Chinese language ability is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in data centre construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving on site.
• Chinese language ability is an advantage for project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate structural construction works for data centre projects.
• Review drawings, documents, and material submissions, and coordinate with consultants.
• Monitor on-site structural works including foundations and steel/concrete structures.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, MEP, and other teams to resolve structural issues.
• Prepare and maintain construction records, inspection reports, and progress reports.

Job description

Manage and coordinate structural construction works for data centre projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

Review structural drawings, technical documents, method statements, and material submissions, and coordinate with consultants and contractors

Monitor on-site structural works, including foundations, concrete structures, steel structures, and other structural components

Conduct site inspections to ensure construction quality, workmanship, and compliance with relevant standards and project requirements

Coordinate with civil, architectural, MEP, and other engineering teams to identify and resolve structural issues during construction

Prepare and maintain construction records, inspection reports, progress reports, and other project documentation

About you

Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field

3+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering or construction projects

Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred

Strong knowledge of structural construction methods, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and relevant engineering standards

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively on construction sites

Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage, especially for communication with Chinese-speaking project teams
