Job summary

Inspur Communication Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a CAD Drafter to prepare and update technical drawings, shop drawings, and layout plans using AutoCAD and BIM tools.

You will support engineers and project teams by developing detailed drawings from design specifications and site conditions. Ideal candidates hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture and have 2+ years of drafting experience in construction or engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience as a Drafter, CAD Technician, or similar role in construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings, shop drawings, layout plans, and construction drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
• Assist engineers and project teams in developing detailed drawings based on design specifications, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and engineering instructions, ensuring proper version control.
• Maintain drawing registers, CAD files, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM software is an advantage

Good understanding of construction drawings, technical details, and drawing standards, with strong attention to detail

Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage, especially for communication with Chinese-speaking project teams
