Job summary

APD Global is seeking a Structural Drafter in Kuala Lumpur to join the Telecommunications team. You will draft and model structural drawings for power and renewables projects, collaborate with engineers, and ensure deliveries meet schedules and standards.

The role requires 3+ years of drafting experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and strong teamwork in a dynamic engineering environment. Medical assessment and police clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drafting activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality drawings and models.
• Prepare detailed drawings and 3D models for structures.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.
• Work closely with engineers to interpret design intent and ensure that all details are accurately represented in the drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that drafting deliverables align with project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain quality control processes for all drafting activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Review drawings prepared by junior drafters, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Utilise industry-standard software such as AutoCAD for drafting and modelling tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software developments and best practices in structural drafting.
• Adhere to APD internal and external client drawing and document management systems as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the drafting team and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

We are looking for our next top gun Structural Drafter to join our Telecommunications team in KL and help develop our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate drafting activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality drawings and models.

Prepare detailed drawings and 3D models for structures

Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of structural designing/drafting experience

Previous experience with structural steel and reinforcement concrete or civil works drafting

Possesses positive working attitude with can-do approach to all their tasks and responsibilities

Must have AutoCAD experience
