Job summary

APD Global, a leading engineering solutions provider for utility and telecom projects, seeks a Graduate SAED Engineer to join the Malaysia Telco Team in Kuala Lumpur. You will assist in SAED documentation, contribute to telecom infrastructure design, and prepare drawings and reports under senior guidance.

The role offers exposure to site assessments, client specifications, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, fostering growth in a dynamic renewable-energy and telecom

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, telecommunications engineering or similar.
• Intern experience in steel structure design and analysis (bonus).
• Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Tekla, STAAD is a plus.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards and design practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of SAED (Site Acquisition and Environment Design) documentation for telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Support the design and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure per client specifications and standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports and project documentation under supervision.
• Conduct site assessments, desktop investigations and data collection to support design activities.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review survey information, asset data and design documentation for accuracy.
• Assist with obtaining planning, environmental and statutory approvals where required.
• Ensure all deliverables meet client requirements and company quality procedures.
• Support project planning by maintaining documentation, tracking progress and meeting deadlines.

We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated Graduate SAED Engineer to join our Malaysia Telco Team.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil / Structural, telecommunications Engineer or similar


• Intern experience in steel structure design and analysis, ideally within telecom or infrastructure projects (bonus, not mandatory)


• Proficiency in engineering and modelling tools such as AutoCAD, (Revit, Tekla, STAAD, or similar – would be a bonus, not mandatory)
