Job summary

Megatara Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Draughtsperson on a contract basis to support engineering projects in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. You will prepare detailed drawings, interpret requirements, and ensure compliance with standards and client specifications.

Mentoring junior staff and maintaining documentation are key parts of the role. Requirements include 2+ years of CAD drafting experience, strong engineering knowledge, and excellent communication to collaborate with teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Draughtsperson or similar drafting role.
• Proven expertise using CAD software to produce high-quality drawings.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices and standards.
• Ability to interpret complex project requirements and translate into technical plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

About the role

Megatara Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Draughter to join our team on a contract basis. This is a strategic role that will play a key part in the delivery of our engineering projects in Selangor & Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed engineering drawings and designs using CAD software
• Collaborating with engineering teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into technical plans
• Ensuring drawings adhere to industry standards and client specifications
• Reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback and changes to project scope
• Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior drafting personnel
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all drafting work

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience (2+ years) as a Draughter or similar role
• Proven expertise in using CAD software to produce high-quality engineering drawings and designs
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and industry standards
• Ability to interpret complex project requirements and translate them into technical plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering teams
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
