Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Structural Design Engineer in Malaysia to support design, calculations and technical documentation of roofing and steel building products. You will ensure safety, performance and compliance with Malaysian standards.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, experience in structural calculations, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. CIDB Green Card and MIEM membership are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma holders with strong relevant industry experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in roofing systems, building materials, light steel construction or related.
• Experience independently performing structural calculations is essential.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D; 3D, Revit or BIM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop roofing and steel products including metal roofing sheets, PU sandwich panels, steel trusses, C purlins and clip lock systems.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Evaluate existing products and benchmark against competitors for improvements.
• Perform structural calculations involving wind uplift, span analysis, load distribution and deflection checks.
• Prepare span tables, load-capacity tables and technical datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with SIRIM, CIDB-IBS, Eurocode and Malaysian standards.
• Provide timely technical support to contractors and the sales team.
• Work with production to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Support tender submissions and value engineering.
