Job summary

Hitec Metal Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Junior Design Engineer (Structural Steel) to design and review structural drawings and reports. You will coordinate with clients on detailing, schedules and specifications, while ensuring quality control and timely delivery with the drafting team.

Candidate should have a structural/civil engineering degree, at least 1 year of steelworks design experience, or be a fresh graduate. Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAADPro is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or professional degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in civil/steelworks design.
• Fresh graduates may apply.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAADPro and other structural software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering designs, review drawings and calculations/technical reports.
• Coordinate with client on structural detailing, technical issues, project schedule & specifications.
• Cooperate & communicate with project manager & client, report regularly on project status.
• Perform quality control and ensure drawings meet design specifications and client expectations.
• Liaise with drafting team and ensure on time delivery of project.
