Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Structural Design Engineer in Malaysia to independently handle product design, structural calculations, and technical documentation for steel and roofing systems.

The role resides in a product engineering environment (not consultancy) and requires delivering output from design to production readiness, ensuring designs are structurally sound and compliant with Malaysian and international standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 2–5 years experience in steel structures, roofing systems, IBS, or building materials industry.
• Must have independently performed structural calculations (not just assisted).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D/BIM advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Design steel roofing systems, sandwich panels, purlins, trusses and related components.
• Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings for production and technical use.
• Benchmark competitor products and propose product improvements.
• Perform structural calculations including wind load, span, deflection and load distribution.
• Prepare span tables, load charts and technical datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with MS standards, Eurocode, CIDB and SIRIM requirements.
• Provide technical support to sales and project teams.
• Respond to contractor technical queries within timelines.
• Support tender submissions and value engineering exercises.
• Maintain technical drawing libraries and documentation records.

We are looking for a hands-on Structural Design Engineer who can independently handle product design, structural calculations, and technical documentation for steel and roofing systems.

This role requires someone comfortable working in a product engineering environment (not consultancy) and capable of managing technical output from design to production readiness.

You will be responsible for ensuring all designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, and compliant with Malaysian and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

Design steel roofing systems, sandwich panels, purlins, trusses, and related components

Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings for production and technical use

Benchmark competitor products and propose product improvements

Perform structural calculations including wind load, span, deflection, and load distribution

Prepare span tables, load charts, and technical datasheets

Ensure compliance with MS standards, Eurocode, CIDB, and SIRIM requirements

Technical Support

Provide technical support to sales and project teams

Respond to contractor technical queries within required timelines

Support tender submissions and value engineering exercises

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain technical drawing libraries and documentation records

Support SIRIM and CIDB submissions and compliance processes

Ensure product documentation is accurate and audit-ready

Requirements
