Job summary

Great Eastern, a well-established insurer in Malaysia, seeks a Talent Acquisition professional to lead end-to-end recruitment—from sourcing to onboarding. You will collaborate with business partners to understand hiring needs, deploy assessment tools, and drive efficient hiring while managing costs.

The role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services or insurance, with strong communication, analytics, and integrity.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
• Strong resourcefulness and creativity in identifying and engaging potential candidates through various sourcing channels.
• High resilience, strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A high level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• A proactive mindset with the initiative to drive continuous improvements and the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Business Partners to understand hiring requirements and source candidates.
• Assist with recruitment plans in collaboration with business leaders.
• Deploy assessment tools to reduce time to hire and manage costs.
• Represent the company at external career fairs and recruitment forums.
• Liaise with line managers to arrange interviews and meetings.
• Provide status updates to managers and candidates on recruitment progress.
• Conduct pre-employment screening and checks before offers.
• Develop a database of contacts for proactive sourcing.
• Run analytical reports on hiring metrics, headcounts and manpower planning.
• Review and refine recruitment process to improve candidate experience.
