Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Communications Lead to plan and execute the site communications strategy for employees and leadership, external relations, ESG initiatives and community engagement.

You will partner with site leadership to align messaging with business priorities and corporate strategy. You will guide employee communications, speeches, town halls and digital channels, while providing counsel to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications strategies and plans within a corporate environment.
• Proven experience in ESG/CSR, community engagement or related project management.
• Experience in media relations, public relations and/or external stakeholder engagement is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic internal and external communications plans based on business priorities and the needs of employees, leadership, external stakeholders and the local community.
• Partner closely with site leadership to develop the overall site communications strategy, ensuring key messages and communication activities are aligned with the company’s vision, values and strategic priorities.
• Lead employee communications and engagement, including site announcements, leadership messages, campaigns, town halls, internal publications, videos and other communication channels.
• Provide communications counsel and support to site leadership, including speechwriting, key messages, presentations, talking points and communications for significant business or organizational matters.
• Support issues and crisis communications, working with leadership and relevant stakeholders to develop timely, appropriate and consistent communications that protect employees, business continuity and company reputation.
• Support site events, employee engagement activities and other strategic initiatives requiring communications planning and execution.
