Job summary

GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to manage PR and RFQ processes, negotiate with suppliers, and identify potential partners to strengthen the supply base. You will place orders, expedit deliveries, monitor supplier performance, liaise with forwarding agents for shipping and customs, and support ISO-driven improvements across operations.

Fluent Bahasa Malaysia and English preferred; Mandarin helpful.

Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales & Marketing or other related field of study.
3–5 years in related field preferred; fresh graduates with strong negotiation skills are welcome.
Strong in communication and good interpersonal skills; multi-client exposure expected.
Overseas supplier liaison experience and adaptability with AI technology is a plus.
Computer literate; SAP user experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Process PR and perform RFQ for purchases.
Negotiation with suppliers on purchases of materials.
Identify and propose new suppliers for short-listing.
Placing orders and expediting deliveries with supplier on urgent basis.
Follow up on materials complaint with user and suppliers based on operations need.
Liaise with forwarding agents on shipping and customs clearance process.
Involve in company’s ISO standard to streamline with Company operations.
To monitor, evaluate supplier’s delivery and performance.
Provide assistance to other departments on project works based on requirements.
Perform any additional duties/ad hoc as and when assigned by superior.
