Job summary

SGS in Shah Alam, Malaysia is seeking a proactive Procurement Executive to manage sourcing, supplier negotiations and PO processing to support operations efficiently and cost-effectively.

You will handle end-to-end procurement, evaluate suppliers, monitor orders, and drive cost optimization while maintaining compliance with procurement policies. Fluent English required; local language skills are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• 1-3 years of procurement experience
• Experience in sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation.
• Able to handle high-volume purchase order processing.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement cycle, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
• Source and procure materials and services including chemicals, consumables, operational tools, mechanical items, and subcontractor/casual worker services.
• Evaluate suppliers through pricing, quality, service, and delivery performance comparisons.
• Conduct supplier benchmarking, comparison, and periodic performance reviews.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and value for the business.
• Manage a high volume of purchase orders and ensure accurate procurement documentation.
• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and timelines.
• Monitor order progress and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Resolve supply-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and other ad hoc reporting as required.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
