Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead daily purchasing, negotiate with suppliers, and optimise procurement processes across cosmetics, healthcare, FMCG or retail sectors. You will drive supplier performance, manage stock levels and coordinate with Storekeepers, Accounts and Retail Operations to ensure cost efficiency and timely procurement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and procurement procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
• Experience in cosmetics, healthcare, FMCG or retail industry is an advantage.
• Overseas and local supplier sourcing experience preferred.
• Import and shipping coordination experience preferred.
• Chinese-speaking candidates (Mandarin) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily purchasing and procurement activities.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers.
• Monitor stock levels and plan stock replenishment.
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Storekeepers, Accounts and Retail Operations
• Monitor purchasing budgets and control procurement costs.
• Oversee Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO) and purchasing documentation.
• Prepare purchasing reports and supplier performance evaluations.
• Supervise and guide the purchasing team.
