Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring an Assistant Purchasing Manager to oversee daily purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement aligned with production needs.

The role requires 5 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain within manufacturing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and MS Office. You will collaborate across functions to optimize costs and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of materials for production.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments for on-time supply.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, QA, and Engineering teams.
• Proactively manage material shortages and expedite urgent deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and procurement standards.
