Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Purchasing leadership role focused on aligning materials supply with demand, optimizing purchasing costs, and developing/implementing purchasing strategies. The position involves recruiting and coaching a team, driving cost reduction, and ensuring supply chain alignment with production schedules.

The role emphasizes building robust procurement processes, supplier management, and ongoing process improvements to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; and five years experience, including two years in supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• APICS and CPM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire Purchasing Supervisors and Planner/Buyers.
• Coach Materials staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
• Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
• Create and manage succession plans for Materials function.
• Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred; and five years experience, including two years in supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

APICS and CPM certifications preferred
