Job summary

Jabil is seeking a senior Purchasing leader to manage the purchasing staff within the Workcell, drive development of supply chain strategies, and ensure material supply aligns with demand while optimizing total material cost. The role emphasizes leadership, cost management, and continuous process improvement.

The position requires coordinating with WCM, BUM, and Materials Manager, delivering timely forecasts, and ensuring compliance with safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Purchasing Staff.
• Monitor team turnover; identify factors and implement improvements.
• Coach and mentor Materials staff to deliver excellence to customers.
• Create and manage succession plans for Materials function.
• Establish clear measurable goals and objectives for individuals and team.
• Drive cost reduction and value through process improvements and MPV.
• Ensure Workcell aligns with Jabil Supply Chain initiatives and strategies.
• Monitor material supply to meet MRP requirements and resolve shortages/overstock issues.
• Lead price administration to ensure accurate costs and competitive quotes.
• Ensure purchase orders include negotiated pricing and terms.
