Job summary

PEM Fasteners (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage material calculations and issue PO orders with accurate quantities and pricing within set lead times. You will negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance, and drive supplier improvements for cost and quality gains.

You will also source new suppliers, handle SST and duty exemptions, and ensure compliance with customs regulations while coordinating with production, warehouse, and suppliers to meet delivery lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Exposure to LMW, Tax Exemptions, MIDA and Custom Department matters.

Responsibilities

• Calculate material requirements and issue Purchase Orders with correct quantity and price.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost, lead time, MOQs and payment terms.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance to ensure on-time delivery and spec conformity.
• Conduct supplier improvement activities for cost reduction and quality/delivery gains.
• Source new suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reduce shortages.
• Handle SST and duty exemption matters.
