BHD. in Penang seeks an Assistant Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing team, ensure material availability for production, and drive cost-saving supplier negotiations. You will manage ERP/MRP-driven planning and collaborate with Production and Planning to meet manufacturing goals.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, team development, and adherence to safety and company policies in a fast-paced EMS manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain.
• ERP/MRP proficiency and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Purchasing team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monitor material supply to meet production and MRP requirements.
• Develop and implement purchasing and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier performance, pricing, and commercial negotiations to achieve cost savings.
• Analyze forecasts, inventory trends, and material planning to minimize shortages and excess stock.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through performance management and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
