Job summary

Intercosmo Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner for our Balakong operations in Selangor. You will optimise production schedules, coordinate resources, and support on-time delivery across our manufacturing facilities.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and quality teams, analyse demand forecasts, monitor progress and report performance metrics to management. The role requires a diploma or degree in a related field and 2–4 years in production planning, with

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in production planning or a similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning software.
• Strong data analysis and decision-making based on metrics.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across departments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and regulatory requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules that optimise resource utilisation while meeting delivery dates and targets.
• Analyse demand forecasts and sales orders to determine production requirements and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement and quality teams to ensure materials, equipment and workforce are available when required.
• Monitor production progress and identify delays or bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
• Manage inventory levels and WIP to minimise carrying costs while ensuring adequate stock for continuity.
• Prepare and present production reports to management with metrics, variances and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure plans include quality controls.
• Utilise planning software to forecast demand, track progress and generate scheduling reports.
