Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a Senior Production Planner to integrate production planning and procurement. You will balance supply and demand, optimize resources, and collaborate with global teams to ensure timely, cost-effective output.

The role requires coordinating forecasts, schedules, and S&OP activities, with a focus on continuous improvement and meeting quality targets across manufacturing plants in Bayan Lepas and Prai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in production planning, supply chain or procurement.
• Strong analytical skills with ERP, supply chain tools and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with international exposure.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate and monitor production activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Adjust schedules proactively to manage machine downtime, material shortages, or urgent customer demands.
• Lead preparation and execution of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
• Support long-term demand and capacity planning aligned with business goals.
• Manage procurement and sourcing activities to ensure material availability and cost targets.
• Monitor and maintain accurate BOM cost and lead-time data.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
• Participate in global supply chain improvement projects, including ERP and planning tool implementations.
