Job summary

GREAT WALL MOTOR SALES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Tender Executive in Kuala Lumpur to manage end-to-end procurement and tender activities.

You will source suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate terms, issue purchase orders, and oversee supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Procurement or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement/tender management.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing and/or tender management.
• Experience working with China suppliers/Chinese companies is an added advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage for Chinese-speaking suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase orders and supplier management.
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality and timely delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and product/service quality.
• Maintain procurement records, quotations, contracts and related documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement efficiency improvements.
• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end tender process, including tender preparation, submission and follow-up.
• Review tender requirements, specifications and terms to ensure compliance.
• Prepare tender documents, quotations, proposals and other supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to obtain pricing for tender submissions.
• Conduct quotation and cost comparisons to support competitive tender pricing.
• Ensure tender documents are complete, accurate and submitted within deadlines.
• Maintain records of tender documents, submissions and results.
• Follow up on tender status, clarification, negotiation and award processes.
