Job summary

Mustika Benua Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a procurement professional in Kota Samarahan to source materials, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery in line with company requirements.

You will issue purchase orders, negotiate terms, monitor inventory, and maintain accurate purchasing records, contributing to cost-effective procurement. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in business/SCM, hands-on purchasing experience, and proficiency in MS Office; Mandarin skills are a plus for

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers and handling purchase orders.
• Ability to negotiate prices, terms and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Ability to analyze market trends, pricing and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensuring accuracy in orders, contracts and delivery schedules.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, goods and services in line with company requirements and specifications.
• Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring all terms, conditions, and delivery schedules are met.
• Negotiate contracts, prices and delivery terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure that necessary goods are available without overstocking.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory checks to prevent stockouts or surplus inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of purchases, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
