Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Buying Team Leader in Johor Bahru to plan and procure materials, review CTB requirements, and ensure production readiness while maintaining optimal inventory. You will coordinate with suppliers, planning, and Finance, and manage supplier accounts in SAP.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Business or related field, 5–10 years in procurement or supply chain, knowledge of ERP/MRP (SAP preferred), and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5–10 years in procurement, supply chain, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and procurement processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure materials to meet manufacturing needs for the assigned project & customer.
• Review CTB requirements and procure materials based on project need by dates.
• Ensure materials are available for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels to avoid overstocking.
• Collaborate with internal teams to return defective materials and ensure proper credits.
• Collaborate with Customer Focus Team & Planning team resolving the CTB challenges.
• Provide feedback on engineering change orders (ECO) for implementation or revisions.
