Job summary

Fortress Shares Services Sdn Bhd in Petaling (Selangor) seeks a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing for mining operations. You will develop strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of equipment and consumables.

Responsibilities include contract administration, cost control, and governance compliance while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required for the role.
• Minimum 4 years of procurement management experience.
• Experience in mining equipment or industrial supplies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
• Manage end-to-end procurement process: sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award, contract administration.
• Ensure timely procurement of mining equipment, heavy machinery, spare parts, explosives, fuel, chemicals, PPE, consumables, and services.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders within authority.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, cost, safety, service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, service agreements, and long-term contracts.
• Cost management: drive cost reduction and monitor market trends and budgets.
• Contract management: prepare, review, and manage contracts; ensure compliance.
• Inventory & logistics: collaborate with warehouse to optimize inventory and delivery schedules.
• Compliance & governance: ensure governance, documentation, audits, and ethics.
• Stakeholder management: work with Mine Ops, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, HSE, PM, senior management; provide reports.
