Job summary

Selinsing Gold Mine Manager Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory function on a full-time basis in Sungai Koyan, Pahang. You will source materials, negotiate with suppliers, and manage procurement activities essential to mining operations.

The role focuses on cost efficiency, supplier performance, timely delivery, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
2-3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles; mining/logistics desirable.
Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to build supplier relationships.
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors for competitive pricing and quality.
Prepare purchase orders, RFQs, and tender documentation.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimize cost and delivery.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance for SLA compliance.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and timelines.
Track inventory levels and maintain procurement records and databases.
Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
