Job summary

Wipro Consumer Care (LDW) Malaysia invites a dedicated procurement professional to manage the sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and optimal balance of cost, quality and service.

You will develop supplier relationships, expediting where needed, monitor inventory and price trends, and support cost reduction programs through effective negotiation and evaluation of quotations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Purchasing / Business environment.

Responsibilities

• To manage the procurement of all raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods for the company
• To plan, manage and ensure timely delivery of all materials and services to achieve optimum balance between cost, quality delivery and service.
• Provide optimum vendor performance through supplier visits and development by expediting methods, maintenance of quality standards and establishments of good communications channels with vendor management and sales personnel.
• Keep management continually updated on current and long-term availability of required materials, services and anticipated price trends to enable company to fully optimize market opportunities.
• Liaise with store regarding materials requirement to ensure minimum raw materials inventory (such as chemicals, packaging, cartons) which are consistent with production requirements and without incurring stock out or overstock situations.
• Participate and support cost reduction and product improvement programmers through purchasing expertise that reflects procurement savings gained through vendor analysis and the negotiation process.
• Compile or summaries quotations of suppliers, analyses and recommend optimum purchase to the requisite, to raise purchase requisition thereon to be confirmed by requisite before proceeding to issue purchase order.
