Job summary

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in SCM or related field and at least 3 years’ procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, MEP.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, cost control strategies, and sourcing techniques.
• Proven track record in negotiating and securing competitive pricing and terms.
• Established local supplier network with the ability to develop new vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts.
• Develop and maintain procurement schedules to align with project and operational timelines.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Continuously monitor and control procurement costs to meet budget targets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Maintain and expand a reliable local and regional supplier network.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery.
• Establish long-term, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and documentation for audit purposes.
• Stay updated on market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations.
• Recommend alternative materials or sources to improve cost-efficiency.
• Work closely with project teams, finance, and operations to align procurement with business needs.
• Resolve supplier-related issues promptly to prevent operational delays.
