Responsibilities

• Identify savings opportunities during annual budget drafting by analyzing spend data and market trends to propose cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Plan sourcing events for the year with the Head of Division and direct reports, developing a sourcing calendar and presenting business cases.
• Guide category managers on tender strategy preparation with market approaches, supplier selection criteria, and negotiation tactics.
• Guide category managers on reviewing tender submissions by establishing evaluation frameworks and ensuring impartial assessments.
• Review tender strategy and outcomes with stakeholders before final approval or award, ensuring transparency and addressing concerns.
• Ensure procurement cycle time is optimal and sourcing activities complete within timelines by identifying obstacles and streamlining processes.
• Forecast workload, allocate resources, and ensure the team has tools and support to operate effectively.
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
