Job summary

Maxis seeks an experienced Contract & Procurement professional to lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management for key technology vendors in Malaysia. You will shape strategies, negotiate terms, monitor performance and ensure compliance while driving risk-aware commercial decisions.

With 8+ years in procurement or contract management, you will collaborate across business, technical and regulatory teams to optimise value, governance and digitalisation of contract processes for sustainable vendor

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in procurement or contract management.
• Experience in managing strategic engagements with large vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Telecommunications industry experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent commercial acumen with strong understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and risk allocation.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Management & Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance, conduct business reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage contracts from creation to renewal, amendments, and termination.
• Review contract changes, assess risks, and provide recommendations on contract positions.
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, obligations, and SLA compliance.
• Manage contractual disputes, claims, and escalations to timely resolution.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Process Digitalisation: Drive process improvement and digitalisation across contract and vendor management.
