Job summary

Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Sourcing Specialist to drive procurement for IT services and related spend. You will manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate terms to achieve cost efficiency while meeting business requirements.

The role demands strong vendor management, contract negotiation skills, and the ability to analyse markets and drive savings across IT categories, including software, hardware, cloud services and professional services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, IT, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant procurement or vendor management experience, preferably within IT, telecommunications, or technology-related industries.
• Experience supporting or managing Network, IT, or Commercial Services categories, including sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with key strategic suppliers working with IT infrastructure & delivery teams.
• Negotiate contract elements, including terms, pricing, milestones and expectations to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Maintaining records, analyse, shortlist and negotiate with potential suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance, including support, maintenance and monitoring of supplier performance metrics.
• Develop competitive proposals to show alternatives and savings.
• Analyse market demand, coordinate with vendors to determine inventory sourcing strategy.
• Identify, drive and implement cost reduction through pricing, costing & margin spent analysis.
