Coherent Corp. is seeking a seasoned procurement professional in Malaysia to lead regional category strategies, drive cost reductions and supplier negotiations across the region.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, MSAs, risk management, and delivering total cost of ownership improvements while aligning with company strategy and savings targets. The incumbent will act as a central partner, nurture stakeholder relationships, and leverage market intelligence to optimize procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, procurement or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience required.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and supplier management capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop category strategy, goals and savings targets aligned with company strategy and sourcing events.
• Negotiate MSAs, monitor compliance and expiration timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives, performance targets and expectations.
• Serve as central point of contact for regionally coordinated procurement efforts.
• Build stakeholder relationships and deliver sourcing services meeting business needs.
• Leverage market knowledge to drive lower total cost of ownership.
• Identify risks and craft mitigation plans for supplier risk, quality and continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement in total cost of ownership.
• Manage supplier selection processes and maintain key supplier relationships.
• Develop market intelligence and monitor strategies and suppliers.
• Forecast total cost benefit opportunities and provide budget guidance.
