Job summary

iHandal Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Executive in Malaysia to manage the sourcing of M&E components, oversee supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery within budget. The role involves PO management, cost tracking, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance teams.

The successful candidate will possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–4 years of procure­ment experience in technical environments, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia

Qualifications

• A working understanding of procurement processes — sourcing, tendering, vendor evaluation, and purchase order management.
• Working knowledge of procurement or ERP software and supply chain management principles.
• Familiarity with M&E, HVAC, or industrial engineering components is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and vendor management: identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers for M&E components; build and maintain a qualified vendor base; ensure quality, delivery and cost requirements.
• Purchase order management and delivery coordination: process POs from issuance to delivery; track status; coordinate with suppliers on lead times and schedules; ensure on-site delivery.
• Cost management and budget support: obtain and evaluate quotations; negotiate pricing; track procurement spend against budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities and provide variance inputs to project/finance teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with Project Engineers, R&D, and Account Management to align procurement timelines and surface new business opportunities.
• Documentation and compliance: maintain procurement records and ensure activity aligns with policies and client requirements.
