Job summary

DJR Power Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement professional with a Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, or related field to join our team in Malaysia. The role focuses on sourcing electrical materials, obtaining supplier quotes, and negotiating terms to ensure cost-effective project purchases.

You will coordinate with suppliers, project teams, and site personnel, maintain purchasing records, and monitor inventory to prevent wastage while supporting project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in electrical, construction, engineering, or project procurement is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical materials and construction-related products is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and price comparison skills.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Able to coordinate effectively with suppliers, project teams, and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electrical materials, equipment, tools, and project-related supplies.
• Obtain and compare quotations from different suppliers to ensure competitive pricing before placing orders.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor material quantities required for ongoing projects and coordinate closely with the site team.
• Track material usage and project progress to ensure purchasing is aligned with actual site requirements.
• Monitor inventory and avoid over-ordering or unnecessary purchases that may increase project costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and site personnel to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Maintain proper purchasing records, quotations, Purchase Orders (PO), delivery orders, and invoices.
• Work closely with the project/site team to control material costs and minimize wastage.
• Perform other procurement-related duties assigned by management.
